JON NG lives in Hong Kong, where he writes poetry and teaches English literature. He was born and raised in Canada. His subsequent move to Hong Kong has left him pondering his own identity as a non-Cantonese speaker in this people and culture-dense city. His work has appeared in a few publications, winning second runner-up in 2019 for Hong Kong’s Top Story Competition, on the online platform of EastLit in 2015 and in the poetry anthology Twin Cities in 2018.
His first poetry collection, "Hong Kong: Growing Pains" was published and launched by Proverse Hong Kong at the Proverse Spring Reception 2020.
