Most of our Proverse Prize winning books, as well as our International Proverse Poetry Prize anthology series, Mingled Voices, are launched at our Autumn and Spring receptions at the Helena May in Central, Hong Kong, together with all those Proverse publications which have come to us as direct proposals for publication.
On request, we assist overseas authors in seeking funding support to attend. We also encourage and support Proverse authors who live in or are visiting different countries to collaborate with local partners for signings, readings, meet-the-author events and literary festivals. We are also regularly invited to participate in literary festivals in other parts of the world.
We are fortunate to have as our local and worldwide distributor the Chinese University of Hong Kong Press, which attend events at local, regional and international venues. We enjoy many other long-term Hong Kong-based associations. As a result, our authors have featured at events in bookstores, academic institutions at all levels (primary, secondary, tertiary), social clubs, literary and membership societies and various ongoing programmes, such as the Hong Kong International Book Fair, the Hong Kong International Literary Festival, the University of Hong Kong Libraries Reading Club, the Hong Kong Women in Publishing Society, Outloud, Peel Street Poets, the Hong Kong Writers Circle, Kubrick Poetry Society and MCCM Books events. We have co-hosted events with the British Council and the Czech Consulate-General in Hong Kong. Several of our events have been supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
