Kasra ‘Kaz’ Shroff is a Hong Kong born and raised photographer and aspiring filmmaker. He’s a student at KGV, where he is Media Captain. He won a Middle School competition aged 12 for his photo of the hands of the oldest and youngest members of his family, ‘Hands of Time‘. Kaz’s photograph ‘Hong Kong Storm‘ was chosen for the book cover of Mingled Voices 7: the International Proverse Poetry Prize Anthology 2023. Several of his other photographs are featured on this site. He is a regular contributor to the Hong Kong Writers Circle‘s literary magazine The Apostrophe and one of the editor’s picks for the Pushcart Prize.
His photograph ‘Nightingale‘ is the cover of the Hong Kong Writers Circle‘s anthology Lost in Transition, which launched at the 2024 Hong Kong International Literary Festival. The sold out event was held 6 March in the Jockey Club Theatre of the Hong Kong Fringe Club in Central. The book can be purchased via Bookazine and Amazon.
